I can’t tell you how happy I am that we decided to get married at Maderas. Poway was home to me for ten years growing up and my parents still live there, so being able to be married in my hometown was very special to me.
The food was AMAZING. I don’t go to a ton of weddings, but this was definitely some of the better wedding food that I have ever had. We had the salmon, stuffed chicken, filet, and vegetarian options and everyone seemed very pleased.

Next last thing- the setting is gorgeous! It doesn’t get much better than sunset over the mountains at a beautiful golf course. Kudos to the entire staff for keeping the grounds looking so beautiful.

All in all, if you want a beautiful setting for your wedding with wonderful and attentive service, Maderas is a great venue for that. They will bend over backwards to make sure that your day is perfect, and I think that makes all the difference. Thank you Maderas!

My new husband and I had our wedding at Maderas and it was a wonderful and memorable day for us and ours guests! All of our invited family and friends are still telling us what a great time they had. We had a “senior” wedding so I felt like we had a lot of “special needs” for our event. The coordinator is the most incredible event planner I have ever worked with! She is classy and very intuitive about the needs of each couple. She has so many resources and she was always right on with the things that we needed! She is the perfect wedding coordinator!

Venue: the golf course is spectacular and at sunset it is just gorgeous for pictures. It’s beautiful, peaceful ambiance is at its best in the late afternoon!  One reason we picked this place is that the staff was always so accommodating. We had been to 7 other facilities who had SO many rules. The thing we loved most about the venue is that you feel it”s so private – it’s there for your group and the only thing that matters is making your guests happy! It is up on a hilltop and feels very secluded! I also liked that they had everything at the facility, i.e. chairs, tables, bar, sound system, dance floor, extra tables, umbrellas, etc. I didn’t have to run all over town looking for things to rent.

Food: several of my guests said the food was the best wedding food they had ever had! We were just at a party last night and someone told us the Beef Brisket was exceptionally delicious! We got great reviews for the Beef Wellingtons and Lava Cake with homemade ice cream. We went to Maderas several times before the wedding and their fabulous chef, Earl, came out to talk to us each time (if he was there working).

Staff: The star of the Maderas staff was the coordinator but ALL the staff were so cordial and kind to my guests! Brandon Brenner, the food and beverage manager went out of his way several times to help us. The wedding does not end that day as our guests forgot items and we needed help finding cellphones, etc. The staff helped us from the minute we considered Maderas to a week after the event. I was always impressed that they were sooo patient with us and never seemed to be annoyed with extra requests!

Maderas is a once in a lifetime experience! I was so proud to have all of my friends and family being treated like royalty! Thank you to all the Maderas Staff

We booked Maderas as our wedding reception venue about a year and a half before the date. The venue books up really fast, especially during wedding season, so book early! We had the pleasure of working with the coordinator all the way from our booking until the day of the wedding. We’re still amazed with how professional and responsive she was throughout the entire process. We planned the wedding all the way from Santa Rosa, so our visits to SD were fairly limited! All of our guests absolutely loved the venue and food. We decided to go with the Pistachio Herb Crusted Chicken and the Atlantic Salmon as our food choices. Both were delicious. Maderas also provided a Vegetable Wellington for our vegetarian guests. We didn’t try this, but it was apparently really good as well. The venue was the perfect size for our 165 person wedding. We had 18 tables, including the bride and groom table. We would recommend up to a maximum of 200 people. The guests also loved being able to go outside to take pictures with the golf course as a background. This is also where our cocktail hour was.. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding weekend at Maderas Golf Club. From the moment we booked the venue to our wedding send off, we were incredibly thankful that we choose Maderas as our reception venue.

My son just had his wedding at Maderas Golf Course.  I just wanted to share this San Diego/Poway hidden secret.  The venue is just gorgeous, green rolling hills, live oaks, beautiful golf course/clubhouse/restaurant/banquet hall.  The photos from the wedding came out unbelievable.  But, what I wanted to really emphasize is the service that we experienced.  The wedding was in August (it never rains in August) but, we got this weird weather thing and it pretty much rained off and on all day.  The staff kept in touch with us, offering an alternate (indoor) location for the wedding to be held in case it rained (which it did).  They had it all set up but when the bride insisted at the last minute that the wedding be held outside (rain or shine).   They quickly figured out a way to move everything back outdoors, wiped the seats off and the wedding was just spectacular!  Then, they immediately set up the indoor location for a cocktail reception  in a matter of 20 minutes.
I can’t imagine any other wedding venue more highly than Maderas!  They really take care of you and see that every detail is taken care of.

My husband and I were recently married at Maderas!! And it was EXCELLENT. The coordinator helped us plan our perfect Gourmet Burger menu and was there for us every step of the way – we couldn’t have been happier with her service as well as the service of the Maderas staff.  Maderas helped us throw the best party of our lives and we are just so happy we chose Maderas as our wedding venue!

My business partner and I (K&G Events) had the opportunity to plan and coordinate a wedding at Maderas and I must say, the customer service and professionalism we received from the coordinator was BEYOND SUPERB!  From the initial consultation, she represented Maderas well and left quite an impression.  Planning an event can rather be taxing at times but Katy made everything so much easier for us.  She communicated well and was prompt with any inquiries and requests we (or the bride and groom) had–she was even gracious to reach out to us during her time off from the office…that is some serious customer service!

On the day of the event, it was comforting to see her throughout the day (and into the night) ensuring that everything was going smoothly and asking us if we needed anything.  Side note:  Sales Managers usually leave once cocktail hour begins and gives reign to the catering captain for the rest of the night, so we were impressed to see her stay until dinner was served.  Again, serious customer service!

I also must mention Caitlyn, who was the catering captain on the night of our event.  She too provided excellent service attending to our requests ever so quickly.  She was friendly and had an apparent leadership skills.

I highly recommend Maderas Golf Club to any bride and groom looking for a wedding venue.  Gorgeous views, fantastic food, and impeccable customer service awaits you!
